CSL DD + McLaren GT3 V2, no menu navigation available

I have a CSL DD base with CSL Mclaren GT3 V2 wheel. They seem to be detected correctly (please see screenshot) and I'm able to configure the axis and buttons and FFB fine. But I am unable to navigate in the menus with the wheel buttons, menu controls are locked to keyboard. How can I enable navigation with the primary device? The bindings menu does not have menu nav entries, only keyboard does (and they are not editable). I will refuse to use the keyboard for everything (menu, repairs, setup etc) with a wheel in hand.

Maybe the second line in the screenshot (lng_input_ftec_rim_csleswmclv2) is related... the game should support both v1 and v2 McLaren rims, but the actionmaps folder in the game files only has ftec_rim_csleswmcl.xml, no file corresponding to the v2 rim?

So it seems that the action map for v2 rim is missing. I copied the existing ftec_rim_csleswmcl.xml, edited it to have
action_map name="ftec_rim_csleswmclv2" sub_device_name="ftec_rim_csleswmclv2"

and renamed it to ftec_rim_csleswmclv2.xml. Now after loading the controller presets I get the menu functionality.
So devs please add the missing actionmaps file.

I have the same problem. Unfortunately, your tweak did not solve it. Please EA dot someting, I can't navigate in the menu with the Mac Laren V2 wheel (no problem once driving though).

I habe the Same issue in my PS 5 Version and i can Not editing something , the Buttons worked in the Game but Not for Navigation

Please note that the workaround LanausKone posted are only for the PC version of the game, as the game files are not accessible on the console versions.

Same issue here with a Fanatec ClubSport 2.5 Wheel Base. No menu navigation keybinds available for it in WRC, which sucks quite a lot...
