Hey there,
Could you try to run the game as administrator?
Also, if this doesn't solve the issue, could you do a clean install of the game?

Hi there!
I verified steam files, I gave ea anticheat, steam and wrc.exe admin rights, also closed anti malware software.
Game just shows Ea splash screen and goes back to PLAY button again.
Do you think that Installing 90gb again will solve my problem or maybe something is not working right in the patch?
I read other playes are having the same problem.
Thank you!
Edit.
Reinstalled all the game.
Not starting.
Just shows the ea splash screen and goes back to steam PLAY button.

Hello there,
I have the same problem.
I tried everything including a fresh install, and nothing worked.
Help please 🙂

I reinstalled 90gb all game, closed malwarebytes, gave admin right to wrc.exe and ea anticheat.
When I click Play button it change into Stop blue button as it must, then shows the ea wrc splash screen, fully loads the white progress bar at the bottom.
Then closes and goes back to steam and the green PLAY button appears again.
Day before patch, the game was working perfectly.
I'm very dissapointed.

2 days, not hotfix.
Game is not starting. Tried everything.
Day before patch was playing perfectly.
Never had a problem with WRC, I really enjoy the game.
I'm losing all the club competitions I'm in for weeks.I'm sad.

Make sure Secure Boot is enabled in your BIOS. That's what was causing my crash

My secure boot is enabled but it crashes since 1.9.

Though I can START the game fine on steam, I can't do anything online related, like clubs or moments. The steam version just won't connect to EA servers.
Trying the game in the EA App, it works just fine. And yeah I had to buy EA play just for to try that ....
I reinstalled and verified the game files a 1000 times by now. Steam did in a few of the verification times say 3 files were not good, but even then it didn't work.
But not every solution is "try and reinstall it" it's so easy to say that. It's a Steam bug i.m.o.
Other thing: I installed the game on my GFs PC while logged into my Steam Profile. That worked perfectly.
For some reason after update 1.9 on my PC it began with connectivity issues after stages and since a few days it won't connect at all. After reinstalling, verifying, clean boots, resets of network....the list goes on.
