Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro - FFB Issues after 1.4.0
After yesterday's update, there was 1 step forward, and two steps backwards. I am racing on a PS5, with a Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro (8Nm), a Clubsport BMW GT2 V2 steering wheel, and the Clubsport handbrake V1.5. A brief history:
Early access. The only problem I had then, was my BMW steering wheel wasn't working (button inputs), but with the Gran Tursimo steering wheel, it ran beautifully, albeit after revising the FFB settings in game. The FFB was as I expected it to be...which was really very good.
The second update fixed the issue where the GT2 V2 buttons weren't recognized. That said, my V1.5 handbrake started acting up...and about three weeks ago, stopped working entirely. I was having issues with the Fanatec Control Panel (obviously not your problem) so I assumed my handbrake was defective and bought a new one.
After yesterday's update (1.4.0) I am experiencing multiple issues. The positive is that I could bind my handbrake again, so I was optimistic. I re-calibrated, re-entered my FFB settings and tried to test. I also updated my firmware on the Fanatec Control Panel. Immediately, there was no FFB at all. I turned off my PS5 and wheel base. Restarted, and re-calibrated my wheel. While I was getting resistance on my wheel, the FFB is broken. Inputs were delayed by at least a full second and it felt very bizarre. Twitchy is the word that comes to mind. But, ultimately undriveable. I thought maybe something was wrong with my hardware, so I popped in Gran Turismo to test, and everything was normal and my hardware woks perfectly well (not to mention that I now own a second handbrake for nothing, as that also works perfectly well on anything other than WRC...which is why I own a handbrake...but I guess that's neither here nor there)
I beg of someone to advise if I'm doing something wrong, as in early access this was a fantastic representation of rally racing, but it's seemingly getting worse and worse after every update, which is counter intuitive.
