Lost all of my progress and saves in EA WRC...

After a steam update I login to EA WRC and it says I am missing content and my only options are to start a new save file or overwrite the existing. I started a new save because I did not want to overwrite and now I am trying to get my career progress and records back. My bindings and settings are also all gone of course. 32 hours of gameplay gone including top American driver for the first split time trial (which I'm sure has been destroyed by now). Please help.

    I got the exact same message. It's like the game and steam have no recollection of the last time I played beyond November 1st and I've lost tons of progress (I have the UE crash logs to prove it lol). I thought the point of cloud saves was to avoid losing progress?

    @seeyan3rd You should have chosen the second option. I haven't lost anything, the settings, and career still fine.
