Multiple Issues in EA SPORTS WRC (Time Trial Screen, Brightness, Brake Bug)
After solving the crash on start-up, I am now dealing with three other problems.
Grey Time Trial Ending Screen: Sometimes after I finish a Time Trial race, the screen turns grey or almost dark grey, and I cannot get out of it. I can't even access the Task Manager with CTRL + ALT + DEL. To exit, I have to press the power button and forcefully shut down the PC, then press the power button again to allow my hardware to cool down and rejoin EA SPORTS WRC. Additionally, since I did not get the menu where I can see Restart / Leaderboard, I lost my time from the leaderboard due to the forced restart.
Brightness Issues: There are two strange things happening here.
A. Sometimes the brightness of the game automatically lowers without my input, making my game screen less bright.
B. When I exit the game, the brightness of my desktop background also automatically lowers without my input. This issue persists across other games as well. For example, when I join CS2, the game's brightness is also significantly lowered despite being at default settings. This background brightness issue after exiting EA SPORTS WRC continues in other games too. To fix this, I either have to restart my computer or go to Windows --> Display --> Switch HDR Turn On --> Switch HDR Turn Off (as it was by default), and then the brightness returns to how it was before joining EA SPORTS WRC.
Brake Problem: Currently, I am using a keyboard and not the wheel and pedals. I believe this is a bug and will explain how it happens. When I join Time Trial and restart the race multiple times (because I fell off a cliff or crashed into something and want a clean record), after about the 5th restart or more, I cannot use the brake anymore. I noticed that I enter corners too fast or am unable to brake in a straight line, with the car only slowing down from engine braking and not the brake pedal. This bug might be triggered when I press the down arrow key (brake) together with the space key (handbrake) multiple times until the game only detects the space key (handbrake) and not the down arrow key (brake). I am not sure how, but this is how it happens.
Please fix these three issues!
