Option in future to disable TAA and use other forms of AA

Hello,  I have WRC on PC.

The Anti Aliasing setting on PC creates very visible ghosting when going at high speed.  It is especially noticeable at night and on snow stages.

I have read that this can be caused by TAA.  I turned the AA down to LOW which eliminates the ghosting but the foliage and other details are jaggy to the extreme.

I tried forcing other forms of AA through the nvidia control panel but nothing seems to work.

Would it be possible to get the option to use other forms of anti aliasing in a future patch?

    To disable TAA on PC add this to the end of the engine.ini file.

    [SystemSettings]
    r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=0

    If you want to try other anti aliasing methods download reshade

    I tried ReShade once but couldn't get it to work.  I kept getting red text in the reshade UI saying there was an error loading presents or something.  This was without adding the line you mentioned to the engine.ini.

    I will give it another try later.

    It would still be nice if we could use driver based aa methods through the control panel, though.

    Do the developers even look at these forums or I'm I just farting in the wind here?

  • So an update.

    Using the Engine.ini edit provided by Mac_Noslo the TAA can be disabled, but the ghosting caused by DLSS is still pretty bad.

    I can use ReShade to mitigate some of the Aliasing but it does nothing for the foliage on stages with DLSS disabled.

    But, combining ReShade with DLSSTWEAKS I can force DLAA which helps with the foliage and FPS and the ghosting of certain objects, like the red clipping posts things, is almost gone.

    Maybe the easiest option in a later update would be to just give us the option for DLAA in game?
