I have the same problem! I can't even bind my Fanatec handbrake CS 1.5; when I just slightly move my handbrake to bind it, I get a message that the driving device is disconnected. Only after I release the handbrake the message dissapears. No problem with other race titles like Dirt Rallt 2.0, GT7 or even The Crew Motorfest. Please give us a patch asap, the game is barely playable now caused by the many hairpin corners in the game...
Had the same exact problem turns out the nut under the yellow damper inside had come loose letting the handbrake come to rest far to forward an sending a signal that makes this game think it’s disconnected, anyway I tightened it a bit recalibrated and it works fine for me now give it a try.
100% FIX
Open it and tighten the nut on the yellow damper thing. Keep tightening it a lot, then it works. You can keep turning it and it makes the handbrake travel shorter and tighter but now it works. If the nut is not tight enough, it emits a signal already. Fixed it like that.
