I've been investigating for the past few weeks and looking for information about save corruption and I spent many hours of testing different options.
I found someone on reddit forum, who had exactly the same problem as me). After a short conversation, we came to some interesting conclusions. In both cases the save file corruption apperred in the 1997-2011 group (see picture in attach). As a test i did my own championship in quick play solo mode but this time i changed the car group to WRC (I used a Ford Puma all the time of the championship). After 4 months of testing first time i completed a 16 country/12 stages championship without a save corrupt in the middle of championship. I strongly believe that this group is causing the error. This group contains many cars than other grups. Maybe is a problem here somewhere, meybe the points are calculated incorrectly and causes a problem. I hope that the above information will make it easier for you to find the issue. If you need additional information, I will be happy to help.
To be sure, yesterday i started again on the same championshiptemplate a championship with gropup 97-11. And the story is exactly the same. After 7 out of 16 countries, when I restarted the stage, the familiar message appeared - SAVE CORRUPTED.

Today I started a championschip with Group A. I'll see if I can pass the championship without save corupted. It is possible that the problem affects more car groups. For now, the WRC group works without errors in quick play solo mode.

Summary of my tests

It is difficult to say clearly what causes the file corruption. Maybe it's a specific group of cars, maybe there's an error in data synchronization between the EA account and the save file on disk, maybe there's an error in the way saving files. I hope Codemaster investigates this issue and it is not forgotten.
Below I would like to summarize the errors that may be important for the case:
1. SAVING FILE:
a) the saving date does not match the current time. Despite this, the save works correctly. See video (part1):

b) the game uses AM PM time, in Poland is a 24-hour system
c) the game does not use the autosave file to save progress in Quick Play Solo mode. Instead it overwrites my own file. The autosave file is only used once at the beginning of the championship. See video (part2):

2. ERROR IN COUNTINGS POINTS:

I think the issue of the points disappearing might be caused by saving and quitting after the final stage of an event (from the menu after you see the results of the rally), without progressing to the next event first.
3. NUMBER OF THE CARS IN GROUP.
So far, i finished own championship with Group WRC (using Ford Puma all the time) and WRC Junior (using Ford Fiesta3 all the time)
- in Group WRC 2 after 12 from 16 country save became corrupted (using Citroen C3 Rally2 all the time)
- in Group A after 6 from 16 country save became corrupted (using Ford Escort all the time)
- in Group 97-11 after 7 from 16 country save became corrupted twice (first time using Ford Focus 2001 all the time, second time using Citroen Xsara all the time)
@EA_Groguet Can I ask for a short feedback what is the status of the investigation by the Codemasters?
