Velocityone xbox firmware problems after updating without unplugging peddles.

I stupidly updated my wheel with the pedals plugged in.  Causing them to fully engage with very little travel.  I toke the pedals to my friends house and used his PC to update only the peddles.   I brought them home plugged them back in and the same problem persists.    Do I need to take the wheel and pedals to his PC and update both using a PC.   What is the best way to go about this as I don't have a personal computer or laptop.
