Will not launch, closes after splash screen

Click play in Steam, EA WRC splash screen comes up, then closes with a system violation error window "Game failed to launch. Please try launching the game again. (35)".

It used to work, seems broken since an update or the anti-cheat was added.

I'd just like a refund at this point I think, so many people not able to launch the game, will we ever get to play what we paid for?

Steam, Win 11, 4090, everything up to date, all other games work fine.
