WRC Steam Not Launch
Bought the game today on Steam. Bought from Steam. Game installed. I click on start game on steam. The green button turns blue for 5-8secondds then it goes back to start. It's like the game launc...

I had got chat with EA and suggestion from EA is below, I am currently in work, can someone to try it please ?
In that case, the possible solution here would be to re-download MS Visual C++ as the files could either be missing or corrupted.

30 replies so far in this thread and NO OFFICIAL RESPONSE FROM EA ANYMORE. its not even in their "known issues" and clearly many people have this issue !
MS VC++ redownload did not fix this issue.
30 people. It's not many - it has to be their fault!!! Seems to be some incompatible hardware. Firmware?!

If there was just a good error message ☹️ can't you provide diagnose Software? I'm sick of shooting into the dark. Windows 😷
Just seen that it does run on SteamOS or Steamdeck 😉 Just that a want to use my Logitech wheel?!!

Apologies for the issue you are facing as i see that the case is already reported to the game team to investigate and fix the issue, and few player already facing the same issue and we already reported that to the dedicate team i request you to please wait form sometime

I got same problem. I update windows with newest updates and restart pc and that fixed my problem.
I did this a lot of times also downloading optional of windows update and restart and nothing changes, game don´t load.
i got this weird bug, when i finaly get into game, right before crashing again. But then i download latest windows updates and restart game. Crash lead to event 13 or event 0.

Thanks for this BUT why EA doesn't come and officially respond to us here. This sounds like just something to tell you to shut you up and move on. There is over 30 messages here. They can't make it public
I got crashing in Monte carlo, what i solved with ground cover. But now i cant start game because i got the same unreal engine crash. When start the game it crash. I update windows and after that it work, i try that later after i turn on pc and tell if that is solved.
I don’t know if this is eelevant but when I connect to racenet it only appears dift 1 and dirt 2.0 and ea wrc is like it was not buyed.
I am trying to help developers.

I also own RC 6? 7 8 9 Generations and Dirt 1.0 and 2.0 .. not exactly sure. But a lot of Rallye games BUT most bought on Steam. One WRac I think from Uplay. None from EA direct.
Now I have EA WRC working, but on a different HW. I used the same RX6600XT graphics, I copied the files (steamapps\common\EA SPORTS WRC) from the PC where WRC does not start and on another it works now, so there is no problem in Steam or in the files, but probably somewhere in the Hardware. I will wait to see if the next fix will work on the previous HW and let you know.
Not necessarily Hardware. It could be software as in something is preventing it from launching or its not optimized to run with certain things.
I don't know. All I know is I tried everything and I can't change hardware and will request refund today.
I think it’s a hardware question because I installed Windows 11 and windows 10 again and the same result the game don’t works

Not working for me either. Was working great until the last patch. Checked files. Re installing makes no difference. This is not good when you pay for a good game.

b uyed one month subscription to ea play in steam and that don´t works. Same error to EA WRC Launch from steam.

I have AVX instructions disabled.
Now with all enabled it works!!
