Community ManagerNote for Thrustmaster Wheels: to ensure correct bindings to suit your current Wheel Rim, please navigate to the Controls menu, highlight your Wheel Base from the list of detected devices, Edit Device and Load Device Preset. From here you can select your currently connected Rim and the tooltips will update accordingly.

That works fine to have the right steering wheel button mappings. Unfortunately although the gears are mapped to the shifter gears, they do not work. I cannot bind my shifter gears. I click bind, move the shifter, nothing happens ..
Same for me. Really sad I cant enjoy the game without the TH8A . That was working fine on Dirt Rally 2.0
I use the TH8A shifter as a handbrake and same as you it’s not recognised on this game for the PS5. EA sports are to busy promoting the game than help with issues.

yup, same problem for me. Shifter not recognised. Guess I'll be using paddle shifters on my lancia until EA get it fixed....
I had the same issue but found a solution. The TH8A needs to be plugged into the DIN input on the T300 base. If the sequential TH8A plate is on the shifter it will only pick up the shifter as a paddle shift so you can’t bind this as a handbrake. You need to swap the sequential plate for the H pattern plate. Once this is done your TH8A is now recognised as a H pattern gearstick. Go into bindings and unbind 4th gear. Go to handbrake and bind Handbrake as 4th gear. So now when you pull down on 4th you have a handbrake. You then need a pull cord or alastic band to allow the stick to pop out of 4th once pulled. If you don’t do this the stick will stay in 4th in other words handbrake will stay on unless put back in the neutral position. Also cover up the 3rd gear slot to stop the pull code pushing the stick into 3rd

We are lot of gamers that uses th8a sequential as handbrake and for the moment, it's a real déception.
Many gamers don't buy ea WRC because this issue.

- @SidewaysFinn Interesting, does it allow you to assign 1st gear in the game to 1st gear with the H-Pattern cover? When I try that, the game never detects that the TH8A is in 1st or any other gear, so I can’t use it as an H-Pattern shifter.
