Character Access Removed (Axle)

I grinded all the character challenges for Axle and unlocked her, opening her thematic packs and even purchasing one of her legendary skins with crafting mats and now I find I cannot play her anymore and have to buy her with Legend Tokens or Apex coins. If the challenges don't fully unlock the character then what is the point of them? Hoping this is just a bug that came out with the new update and it gets fixed soon.
