Easy Anti Cheat does not support ByPassIO

The "EasyAntiCheat_EOSSys does not support bypassing I/O. Supported functions: 0x4" warning in the Event Viewer when Apex Legends freezes is a common issue tied to EasyAntiCheat (EAC) compatibility problems, particularly with Windows 11 (especially version 24H2) or specific hardware configurations. This error often causes game crashes or freezes due to conflicts with the file system filter and Bypass IO, which is related to how EAC interacts with your system's storage drivers. Below are steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue based on available information and common fixes:

1. Verify Game Files and Repair EasyAntiCheat

Corrupted game files or EAC installations can cause freezes. Repairing or verifying files may resolve the issue.

• Steam:
  1. Open Steam, go to your Library, right-click Apex Legends, and select Properties.
  2. Navigate to Installed Files and click Verify integrity of game files.
  3. Wait for the process to complete, then relaunch the game.
• EA App/Origin:
  1. Open the EA App, go to My Collection, right-click Apex Legends, and select Repair.
• Repair EAC:
  1. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Apex Legends\EasyAntiCheat (or the equivalent EA App path).
  2. Run EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe as administrator.
  3. Select Apex Legends from the dropdown menu and click Repair Service. If that doesn’t work, try Uninstall and then Install EAC.
