False-Positive ban wave
I recently got banned over an above average Wildcard game - 25 kills, 7000 damage. I had multiple 18-22 kills games so far this season i don't know why a random 25 it would trigger anything despite having very rough games before and also after that game.
I am not aware of how exactly that new ban system works, my assumption is report based - X amount of repots = issues an automated ban or "unrealistic game stats" (eg. over X kills/damage) which isn't adjusted to account for Wildcard nature of having high kill games.
I came across multiple people over on X and Reddit that share the same fate, most of whom, including me, would never see their account back because thats just how it works. The handful whom got unbanned are people whom luckily record their gameplay. But for the rest of us regular players that have no intentions to create content, recording gameplay for no reason doesn't make sense.
I label it as Bug/Flaw for the following reasons : it targets legitimate players, always the same reason "Game Enhancement". Im sure the intentions behind it are good - targetting cheaters which, yes, game has been MUCH better for the past season but once it starts randomly wiping out legitimate players, i view it as a MASSIVE flaw.
ZuniUK, professional player for CTG - Solo to Masters, banned in gold for "Game Enhancement".
MgClutch, professional player for The Vicious - Solo to Masters, banned for "Game Enhancement"
Bubblegum, german content creator, current split #1 Apex Predator - Solo to Masters, banned for "Game Enhancement"
None of them care to investigate because it is alt accounts for challenges. However, a random chatter stopped by in ZuniUK's stream when it happened and confirmed with EU HIDEOUT Redspider (i believe is his name) that it is a False-Positive ban caused by reports/spam reports/automated flags and denied posibility of a manual ban.
Reddit / X (Twitter) are flooded with regular "nobodys" like me whom are also banned over the same reason but are legitimate players considering some who happened to record their gameplay got unbanned right away, example @aoi64_mnw on X, luckily for him, he's a small content creator who posts clips/montages occasionally so he just happened to have a recordings which bailed him out of permanent ban.
Unfortunately for the rest of us non content creators, we have no recording, no direct access to hideouts, just EA help ban appeals. Ban appeals is failing us too because most of us just play the game, we don't have "evidence" aka recordings and we're just being DENIED right away.
Considering the Hideouts themselves seem aware of the issue and my appeal via EA Help was Denied as it was for most other players who don't just happen to record their gameplay, i feel the need to report it as bug because we're losing our MAIN accounts over a system bug/flaw.
Even if it's too late for me, i hope you fix it for other players whom also may lose their main accounts in the future without even being a cheaters. It feels so bad when you spend a lot of time and money into the game and just end up banned and ignored.
