False-Positive ban wave

I recently got banned over an above average Wildcard game - 25 kills, 7000 damage. I had multiple 18-22 kills games so far this season i don't know why a random 25 it would trigger anything despite having very rough games before and also after that game.

I am not aware of how exactly that new ban system works, my assumption is report based - X amount of repots = issues an automated ban or "unrealistic game stats" (eg. over X kills/damage) which isn't adjusted to account for Wildcard nature of having high kill games.

I came across multiple people over on X and Reddit that share the same fate, most of whom, including me, would never see their account back because thats just how it works. The handful whom got unbanned are people whom luckily record their gameplay. But for the rest of us regular players that have no intentions to create content, recording gameplay for no reason doesn't make sense.

I label it as Bug/Flaw for the following reasons : it targets legitimate players, always the same reason "Game Enhancement". Im sure the intentions behind it are good - targetting cheaters which, yes, game has been MUCH better for the past season but once it starts randomly wiping out legitimate players, i view it as a MASSIVE flaw.

ZuniUK, professional player for CTG - Solo to Masters, banned in gold for "Game Enhancement".

MgClutch, professional player for The Vicious - Solo to Masters, banned for "Game Enhancement"

Bubblegum, german content creator, current split #1 Apex Predator - Solo to Masters, banned for "Game Enhancement"

None of them care to investigate because it is alt accounts for challenges. However, a random chatter stopped by in ZuniUK's stream when it happened and confirmed with EU HIDEOUT Redspider (i believe is his name) that it is a False-Positive ban caused by reports/spam reports/automated flags and denied posibility of a manual ban.

Reddit / X (Twitter) are flooded with regular "nobodys" like me whom are also banned over the same reason but are legitimate players considering some who happened to record their gameplay got unbanned right away, example @aoi64_mnw on X, luckily for him, he's a small content creator who posts clips/montages occasionally so he just happened to have a recordings which bailed him out of permanent ban.

Unfortunately for the rest of us non content creators, we have no recording, no direct access to hideouts, just EA help ban appeals. Ban appeals is failing us too because most of us just play the game, we don't have "evidence" aka recordings and we're just being DENIED right away.

Considering the Hideouts themselves seem aware of the issue and my appeal via EA Help was Denied as it was for most other players who don't just happen to record their gameplay, i feel the need to report it as bug because we're losing our MAIN accounts over a system bug/flaw.

Even if it's too late for me, i hope you fix it for other players whom also may lose their main accounts in the future without even being a cheaters. It feels so bad when you spend a lot of time and money into the game and just end up banned and ignored.

  • I got a FALSE (VERY FALSE) ban May 15th, 2026 for gameplay enhancement. ofcourse my appeal was denied and no proof given to me. its honestly effected me more than it should. i have never cheated, or done anything to enhance my gameplay. i have normal stats too. been playing for years.

I feel you, mate. It definitely sucks investing time and money into the game, wasting time to spectate players constantly reporting cheaters to make the game a better environment and then you get screwed over a false-positive ban and you just know it is impossible to get yourself unbanned in this game because it is not just one studio you deal with, Respawn, but you also have a completely disconnected EA into the mix whom you have to beg to review your case and without "evidence" on top of that because 99% of players just don't happen to record their gameplay because frankly it doesn't make sense nor you expect to get banned.

And of course it'd affect you, Apex is practically part of our daily lives for many of us whom enjoy the game.

In 2026 we all have to record our gameplay and waste disk space "just in case" we get mistakenly banned i suppose which sounds so outlandish.

  • What I sincerely appeal for is to urge the TOS team to treat all ordinary players more fairly.

Nowadays, numerous innocent legitimate players across the gaming community have been wrongly and arbitrarily banned under the terms of service without specific reasons. They have no way to find out the exact violation details nor defend themselves properly.

I strongly suggest the TOS team implement the following fair improvements:

Inform players clearly of the exact time of the alleged violation, detected abnormal data and specific violation content, instead of merely using vague general labels.Establish transparent review channels and grant players sufficient opportunities to explain actual situations such as game glitches and misjudgments made by the system.Optimize the penalty mechanism, strictly distinguish real cheating behaviors from bans triggered by game glitches, and reduce unnecessary wrongful account suspensions.

Please pass these sincere suggestions on to senior management and the Terms of Service department, so that more ordinary players can receive fair treatment.

Your wildcard theory could be right because I also exclusively play wildcard and consistently get 20+ kill games. On the other hand I have seen some people on here get false banned while having less than 1 kd so maybe not. It sucks that what we might think would be the easiest unban ever turns into being denied over and over again. I've spent 3000 hours on this game so it hurts a lot. I'm seeing a lot more people getting false banned now so EA/respawn should notice and fix this soon (hopefully).

Take it easy, im being serious. Just days before i got banned i was tagging Hideouts on twitter for that Aoi fella and thinking "it wouldn't happen to me". I drop the 25 kills game, requeue, get into the next game and got obliterated. I had like 2-3 kills, 8-10 respawns and suddenly i am hit with the "This account have been banned" screen. My heart sunk because you just know you ain't winning that battle via automated EA appeals.

I get that you may enjoy Wildcard as other modes, especially in current map rotation, are not very enjoyable experience but if i take my account back anyhow i'd legitimately stay away from Wildcard until Respawn/EA addresses it publically. It is a fun mode but man... getting banned over not properly adjusted system to account for the high kill nature of the game mode is ridiculous.

As for the reasoning, it has to be "report amount based", say 100 or whatever or Kill/damage/accuracy. I have some foggy memories back when ZuniUK got banned Redspider said something along those lines (about 100 reports).

We're 7 years into the game. I love your idea as i dispise those vague "Yo, you've been banned, yo your appeal is denied" automated nonsense.

But realistically, neither my post nor your suggestion would get us anywhere. Im sure if i was to look up similar cases to mine or your suggestion, i'd find countless over the years and nothing has changed, if anything, it only gets worse.
