This profile is not permitted to play online

I am getting the error message "This account is not permitted to play online" when I open apex legends on my Xbox series X and try to get into the game. It doesn't seem to be a consistent error as I am able to get into the game about 1 out of 5 times. I have tried all these things so far to fix it: uninstalling and reinstalling the game, setting my Mac address to clear, resetting my Xbox account saved data, changing my DNS settings to a l google DNS, restarting my xbox. It seems like there must be something wrong with my EA account as it isn't banned or reported but it still displays this message. Its really annoying because sometimes I'm able to get into a match and, my game crashes and I have to restart a couple of times to get back into the game.

    Thanks for letting us know about that! Can you please confirm if, by any chance, VoIP & chat communication settings are restricted or disabled on your console settings before you boot up the game? 

  • Hello, I have been having the exact same problem on and off for a couple of months now. I have also tried all the other things that the original post tried. This is super disappointing. This is my partner and I's favorite game and it keeps getting disrupted. It is incredibly inconsistent on when it lets me in or not. And sometimes mid matchmaking kicks me out.

    MasterX787787​ I'm really sorry to hear that. Can you please confirm if, by any chance, VoIP and chat communication settings are restricted or disabled on your console settings before you boot up the game? This information should help us identify what could be causing this.

    No there are no restrictions enabled. Something I do that lets me in occasionally is that once I've gotten this message, I quit and reload the game, and then wait for a minute or so before pressing A to enter. This doesn't work 100% the time. I think it might have something to do with having a slightly older console and not everything in the game loading correctly before I enter.
