Graphics settings broken, causing CTDs since update.
Hey there!
After downloading the new update (and apparently already a few hotfixes, when reading other threads but I couldn't tell) the game stopped working properly. It worked fine since release, until now.
The problem is that when it boots up it always started in a smaller windowed instance (about a quarter of the actual screen) and then went fullscreen when the game itself loaded, with no issue. Now when starting BF6 it remains in this small windowed mode, does not scale at all and changing anything in the graphics settings crashes the game outright to desktop.
Of note is that changing to windowed from fullscreen borderless works but afterwards changing back to any fullscreen option CTDs the game. Furthermore, the options for resolution and refresh rate are both empty, as in there are no selectable options. Just literally blank. Trying to change resolution does not yield any, trying to change refresh rate instantly CTDs the game.
I checked the PROFSAVE_profile-file with Notepad++, everything seems to be in order there. The correct resolution and refresh rate as applied before the update are there.
Verifying the game files brought up four files failing to validate at first, afterwards verification failed for three. The repair process/re-downloading the files does not fix the issue. Three files continuously fail to validate.
Removing the PROFSAVE-files and letting the game generate new ones did not help either, the problem persists as is. Got the minidump-files ready, can't upload them with your file attachment system.
Got the latest game-ready-drivers from Nvidia, WIndows is up-to-date, specs are more than sufficient.
