[PC] Deploy screen FPS capped at ~30 after Season 1 update (Steam, AMD GPU)

Description

After the Season 1 update, overall in-game performance remains normal, but the deploy / spawn screen appears to be capped around 30 FPS despite no framerate limits being enabled.

CPU + GPU utilization both drop to ~20–30 % while in the deploy screen, then instantly return to normal values (60–70 % CPU / 80–90 % GPU) the moment the player presses Deploy.

FPS also jumps back to the expected 230 – 310 FPS as soon as gameplay begins.

Feels as though a hidden 30 FPS limiter or menu context throttle is being applied during the deploy screen.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch Battlefield 6 (Steam build, Season 1 patch).
  2. Join any multiplayer match.
  3. Observe FPS and GPU/CPU utilization in the deploy screen.
  4. Press Deploy → FPS instantly rises to normal gameplay levels.

Expected Result

Deploy screen should render at full framerate (same as in-game and main menu) unless an explicit FPS limit is set by the user.

Actual Result

Deploy screen runs at ~28–40 FPS with 20–30 % GPU/CPU usage until the player spawns, then returns to normal (230–310 FPS).

Looks like no one even cares about this, they screwed it in a patch and don t even bother repairing it, we are stuck with 30-40 fps in the deployment menu ...

Thanks for the suggestion, but I run the game without TAA, and I essentially want to run the game as close to 300fps as possible (above 200fps 95% of the time), so like disabling FSR might improve the Deploy-Screen, but lower the overall performance and visibility...

I found that when I run the game in 1440p 4:3 stretched it will allow me to push 70 or so fps in the deploy-screen which I mean is still a problem, but slightly more usable...

  • im getting that and random frame drops in-combat. never happened before season 1 update.

Quick fix, disable fsr. Instantly gained like 100fps on respawn menu

Same exact issue here on a 9070xt and 9800x3d.

Running on newest 25.10.2 drivers which supposedly added Battlefield 6 support.

I see, well **bleep** - hopefully it gets patched soon because it's next to impossible to use the deploy screen atm :/

Can confirm this, its extremely annoying, it happens on all upscalers FSR Xess etc at native AA or using upscaling (quality, balance etc) the only temporarely fix is to turn to TAA but it looks like vaseline **bleep** so we are screwed atm.
