Random internet drops mid game

Since two days after release, Battlefield 6 has been absolutely killing my connection on the PC I game on. I’m 100% sure it’s either BF6 or Javelin causing it. This doesn’t happen with any other multiplayer game.

At first I blamed my ISP or router, but nope. Every time it drops, I check my phone and laptop — both work perfectly fine. Meanwhile, on my gaming PC running BF6, I can’t open a single website for several minutes, and my friends can’t hear me on Discord (even though I still hear them).

So yeah, it’s definitely your game messing something up.
EA, please fix your stuff. This is ridiculous.

Device Manager > "Your Nic" > Disable, then Reenable.

Resets the NIC immediately.  Speedtest back up to symmetric gigabit.

This is definitely BF6/Javelin Anti Cheat.  You'll know it's happening when you see people mid game floating up into the air.  You're seconds away from getting kicked from the game and getting drastically reduced internet speed.

  • Having the exact same problem with the exact same test results.

Connection gets killed minutes into a game on my PC.  Speed tests anywhere from 9 Mbps to 95 Mbps for MINUTES.  At the same time speed tests from phone or laptop are near gigabit both up and down.

As stated, this occurs ONLY with BF6/Javelin Anti-Cheat.  NOTHING ELSE causes this to be repeatable.

Fix this please EA.  This really got more prevalent in the last week or so.

  • I got the same Problem, I sometimes need to wait 30 minutes and restart my Pc multiple Times after ALT + F4'ing this **bleep** Game until my Download Speed isnt at 0.02mbps anymore. Can't believe I spent Money on this **bleep** **bleep**

    *I HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION*

Battlefield 6 Kills Your Ethernet? Realtek Adapter Solution

If your Ethernet cuts out a few minutes into Battlefield 6 — even though your router and other devices are fine — you’re not alone. This is a known issue with Realtek PCIe network adapters under high network load. Here’s the complete fix.

    Symptoms:

Ethernet disconnects after 5–10 minutes of gameplay

    Router lights stay normal

    Other devices stay online

Reinstalling the game or Windows doesn’t help

Step 1: Update Your Realtek Driver

    1. Go to the Realtek official site → PCIe GBE Family Controller page.

    2. Download: Win10/Win11 Auto Installation Program (NDIS) — version 10.77 or newer.

    3. Run the installer.

    4. Restart your PC after installation.

    Step 2: Disable Power-Saving & Offload Features

Open Device Manager → Network adapters → right-click your Realtek PCIe GbE adapter → Properties → Advanced tab.

Disable the following options if available:

    Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE)

    Green Ethernet

    Interrupt Moderation

    Large Send Offload (IPv4 & IPv6)

    TCP Checksum Offload (IPv4 & IPv6)

    UDP Checksum Offload (IPv4 & IPv6)

    “Receive Side Scaling” (RSS)

    Open PowerShell:

    1. Open Windows Terminal as Administrator.

    2. Type: Get-NetAdapter

(note your Ethernet adapter name, e.g. “Ethernet 2”)

    3. Then run:

    Disable-NetAdapterRss -Name "Ethernet 2"

    Disable-NetAdapterLso -Name "Ethernet 2"

    Step 3: Restart & Test

Restart your PC, launch Battlefield 6, and play for 10–15 minutes. Your Ethernet should stay stable now.

    Step 4: Optional Tweaks

In Device Manager → Advanced, set Speed & Duplex to 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex.

In Control Panel → Power Options, select High Performance mode.

    Result:

No more Ethernet disconnects during Battlefield 6. The issue comes from Realtek’s RSS/LSO offload features conflicting with the game’s heavy UDP traffic.

Note: this text might sound weird cuz i copy pasted it straight from chatgpt

If any step doesnt work just skip it

There are some drivers that dont support some options

    But it worked for me

  • same here it is 100% battlfield i deleted this trash off my pc until they fix it

I'm having the same issue. I remember having this issue when I tried playing BF1/BF2042 and it wasn't resolved until I completely uninstalled the anti-cheat. Given that it's facilitated at the kernel-level, it would cause connectivity issues regardless of if Battlefield was open or not.

I'll frequently have a Discord call and my Steam friends list open on my other monitor and both would have a 5-10s drop in connection at the same time, but other machines on the same network would not have any issues. My PC uses a wired connection and its connection speed/ping are great. I honestly haven't had ANY lag in my matches. The only issue is when it decides to hiccup for a brief second like this - when that happens, instead of making me lag momentarily, it instantly kicks me back to the main menu and tells me that I was removed for inactivity? There's clearly something going wrong on their end if that's the message I'm receiving after being kicked. I'm pretty sure you have to be AFK for at least a minute to be correctly removed for inactivity, but since I'm getting kills, reviving people, etc. only a few seconds before being kicked, it's obvious there was no inactivity on my part, so getting an error message like that is extremely bizarre.

I never have had connectivity issues like this occur on my PC/network other than when I've had Javelin installed. I even tried generating a log of my sent/received/lost packets while playing to see if I could get to the bottom of what was happening, but sadly BF6 doesn't let you launch the game while running a such an analysis tool.

PLEASE ACKNOLEDGE AND FIX THIS ISSUE, EA
