Redsec: hit reg/TTK inconsistent + Mini Scout OP + other bugs (PS5)
Dear BF6 team,
First, congratulations. You have delivered a genuinely strong Battlefield title. In my view it is one of the best entries in the franchise for a long time, and it scratches that BF3/BF4 style of modern warfare I have missed.
I am not anyone important, just a long time fan and a regular player. My PSN is II–A_C–II. I mainly snipe and I play frequently after work.
Overall, multiplayer feels solid. One balance note: the Mini Scout feels overtuned. It plays like a cheap Redsec sniper option but also performs as an overpowered sniper in standard multiplayer.
The main reason I am writing is Redsec. I cannot claim to know the underlying cause, but I am seeing frequent situations that look like hit registration issues and inconsistent time to kill. I have recorded multiple clips where shots and damage do not seem to register correctly, especially in close fights.
What stands out is that these incidents seem disproportionately common in engagements against lower level players (roughly below level 150). For context, I am level 250, with around a 4.5 KD in Redsec and 3.5 overall.
If there is any hit reg bloom, netcode inconsistency, or any unintended low level boost behaviour, I strongly suggest prioritising investigation and fixes. These moments are happening often enough that I am considering stepping away from the game, which is a shame because the core experience is excellent.
I do not think standard multiplayer needs heavy SBMM or ranked modes, though better team balancing would help. However, battle royale is inherently competitive, and inconsistent TTK or hit registration undermines the mode quickly, especially for the higher skill players who tend to keep a game alive long term.
I am not expecting a response, but if the team would find it useful, I can share the clips and timestamps showing the specific cases (including examples where I land a headshot plus follow up shots and still lose instantly while at full health).
Thanks for reading, and I genuinely wish you the best with the future of the franchise.
Kind regards,
Alex

Additional issues observed
- Weapons crates delayed to appear
- In some locations, the weapons crate model and interaction prompt appear late, or pop in after a noticeable delay.
- Weapons crates interaction delay
- Crates sometimes do not open for a few seconds after interaction. Input is accepted, but the open animation and contents are delayed.
- Rare third person camera bugCase A: immediately after exiting drone viewWorkaround: re enter the same view or vehicle, then exit again. That resolved it in game both times.
- Case B: after exiting a Jeep
- Twice I entered an unintended third person style view.
- Mini Scout downing through full plates
- I have seen cases where a fully plated teammate was instantly downed by a single Mini Scout headshot. If intended, fine, but it looks like a potential damage or server desync issue (feels like two bullets registered in one instant).
- Precision airstrike approach angle and blast consistency
- The precision airstrike sometimes comes in very horizontally, which makes it feel inaccurate and unpredictable. I have also been downed at roughly 50m from the circle while uphill from the impact area, which seems inconsistent with expected line of effect and falloff.
- Blooming instead of recoil
- Weapon behaviour sometimes feels like increased bloom rather than recoil, especially during sustained fire. This might be by design, but it is worth flagging because it feels like randomness rather than controllable recoil.
- Audio drop out near zone edge and fire
- At the edge of the zone near fire, audio can drop drastically. Example: a car passed very close to me with effectively no sound at all.
- Player model not appearing in helicopter, then map UI stall
- A few times, a character did not appear correctly while in a helicopter. Shortly after, the full map display got stuck and the game stalled on that screen.
