Maybe, but it's happening to people with Windows 11 as well, so I don't think the logic is sound, unless you have a statement from them. But do know, Windows 10 will be put away at some point, so you should prepare for that eventuality.
I might do some experimenting on this front. Ill probably pick up a new NVME today and do a clean install of WIn 11 and test and then wipe and do a clean install of Win 10 and test.
My plan will be to keep my current NVME as my main boot drive with all the programs and stuff I use.
The new NVME will have nothing but to OS, EA App and BF6.
MS extended security updates for Win 10 for 3 years, paid. So there is no reason for EA to stop supporting it.
I sort of agree on the continuance of support for Windows 10, but it's diminishing returns for development time. I don't think most developers follow the specific end of service/end of life cycle of older operating systems. It's just a cost/benefit equation at the end of day for large studios like this. Indie devs would likely work diligently on it, but not these guys (I imagine). I'd be curious to know what percentage of the players are on Windows 10. There are definitely people left out because of older hardware. For instance, needing TPM and secure boot for the anti-cheat to work. So that will likely weed out a lot of people still using older operating systems.
By the way, TPM is not needed, only safe boot) I disabled TPM for an experiment and everything still works
Are you on Windows 11? Does it not require TPM be enabled?
