Ziplines/Rappel Ropes are gone in Escalation

For some reason vertical ziplines/rappel ropes are missing from all maps in Escalation mode. This is extremely apparent on maps like New Sobek City where players can camp on all the rooftops and dominate the map since there's no way to reach them without wasting a helicopter.

I have to assume this is a bug or oversight, it makes zero sense otherwise.
