the AI’s pace in wet conditions on the wet tyres is far too quick and it’s impossible to keep up with them. Even changing to inters and doing faster lap times the AI are still going quicker on worn wet tyres. It’s almost like they have unlimited traction

At the moment I basically have to simulate a race if it's going to rain, which is a shame as I love races with changeable conditions! But the AI has an unnatural 2-3 second advantage as soon as the track starts to get wet, meaning I just end up going backwards regardless of how well I manage the conditions 🤦♀️🤷♀️

Feels almost like we struggle with grip etc in wet weather (which is to be expected), but the AI doesn't (or at least not as much)? There does seems to be at least a 2-3 second pace advantage for the AI in the wet conpared to dry.

have the same issue. AI is to strong it wets. and please don't listen to the few elite players that say wet is fine and dry is bad. there are still normal people playing the game.
in Wet AI seems 10-15 points off. if I lower the AI difficulty about the value its ok. still not fun to drive. problem is there are mixed condition I'm to fast on dry conditions.

At the very least, a brief update on the status would be appreciated. Positive threads tend to get responses quickly, but in this case, there's not even any indication whether someone is currently looking into it.
Once again, I'm genuinely happy with this year's improvements. It's just a shame that a single bug (if you can even call it that) has such a negative impact on the overall gaming experience.

Hey there,
I am afraid I don't have any updates for now. The team is looking into it, but AI changes are risky, and the team is not going to take any rushed decisions. Your concerns are valid, and this is being assessed and looked into.
As soon as I have more information, I will update you on this thread.

EA_Groguet It is clear that the situation requires corrective action. It is surprising that such a significant imbalance between wet and dry conditions has gone unnoticed. At the moment, the game is difficult to enjoy under these circumstances.

This really killed my season off. Had 4 races in a row with either wet quali dry race or wet quali and wet race. Ai seem to have so much traction. I've tried so many different driving styles, settings and it's the same every time please fix codies

I’m not a fast driver but have been playing racing games for years. I use 70 AI difficulty and match AI speed in dry conditions, but in wet weather they are around 1,5-2 seconds faster than me.
Moreover, it looks like AI tyres are getting old slower. Today, I experienced in Bahrain that I could use Intermediate tyres maximum for 25-30 laps and rear tyres were about 40% waste, while AI was lapping the fastest laps after their 40th laps with older tyres.
Note: No assist, 100% race length
