the AI’s pace in wet conditions on the wet tyres is far too quick and it’s impossible to keep up with them. Even changing to inters and doing faster lap times the AI are still going quicker on worn wet tyres. It’s almost like they have unlimited traction

I have the same problem.
In wet conditions, there is no grip at all, I'm sliding everywhere. I usually play at 105 difficulty.
As soon as it starts raining, the AIs are 2 to 3 secondes faster per lap.
This is number one issue that needs to be fixed in the game for me with AI speed on straight. - losvelto7 months agoNew Spectator
On a slightly wet track, AI lap times are not affected. The career mode is unusable in this state

In a dry race, me and my brother are upper midfield to front runner, but in the rain, i get passed by a 2s pace difference on a straght while im on the dry line and theyre on the wet side of the track. Bonus, they f**k*ng bump into me while going in a straight line

The fact i can't see the track getting wet + AI too slow in dry/too fast in wet makes me put this game on hold. It really breaks the career mode.
Back to F1 23 till this is fixed... - emocicsA7 months agoSeasoned Scout
Exactly, it's absolutely a priority and we expect it to be taken into consideration as soon as possible.

This is being reported now by many people, I think this needs to be a priority fix. Can we please have some feedback from EA to confirm it will be looked into?

I match my teammate in the dry with AI set to 101. But in wet conditions their traction out of corners is mental. I lost 1.5sec a lap to my teammate.
In F1 24 the AI level comparison from Dry to Wet was spot on.
I use Elite assists.
On PS5.

Monaco I was 110 AI, I have no assists and was 1.9s faster in qualifying. To me it looks like the AI don't use much kerbs but also were just generally slow.

The real problem is that the AI is too slow in dry conditions. I can beat it without any setup at 110 difficulty, and even with a margin, while in the wet it’s almost two seconds faster than me. I think the wet difficulty is well balanced. Racing at 110 in the wet can be a good challenge for pro players. The point is that the dry difficulty needs to be increased by at least a second, or even a second and a half, to match the level of challenge in the wet. And let’s not even talk about Monaco, where at 110 the AI is almost two seconds slower than me in dry conditions without a setup. This is a very serious issue and discourages me from starting a career mode — it needs to be fixed immediately.
