the AI’s pace in wet conditions on the wet tyres is far too quick and it’s impossible to keep up with them. Even changing to inters and doing faster lap times the AI are still going quicker on worn wet tyres. It’s almost like they have unlimited traction

will be patched next week but thats not the problem here

so you still need "proof" of the problem watch the following video from a content creator, after watching if you still think it is not a problem then the game is dead:

EA are a total joke. Never buying another F1 game again. It's been MONTHS and STILL no fix for this GAME BREAKING ISSUE!!! I only play single player and both career modes are now totally broken. 110 AI, controller, game recommended setup, every assist off & cockpit cam and I can fight for the world title in a Williams in the dry, but as soon as it rains I'm SECONDS A LAP down on the AI!!!!
You literally just have to adjust a few basic physics settings, something PC players have been able to do themselves for years, in order to give us a massively improved situation until you can find a proper fix. Increase the AI grip multiplier for dry tyres and decrease the grip multiplier for inter and wet tyres.... It's not rocket science!!!!!!

There’s a bit to it though. Is it our car handling or the AI? If you were in a better car would your wet racing be better than in a worse car.

I'm wondering something.
The patch notes for the upcoming v1.06 mention that the player's car's underbody scrapes more against the track than the AI's resulting in a bad top speed. Could this issue with the underbody also be a reason for the poor drivability in the wet?
I mean it would make sense if the player's car is always too low.

What’s people’s thoughts on the 1.06 update? Does anyone think it’s helped? I had a quick go in Australia and china and still thought the ai had much more traction out of corners than the player. I don’t think it’s made a big difference at all, still feel like I’m struggling to get any decent power down despite the changes to the auto gearbox

The acceleration off traction corners are where the AI had all the advantages
You ain't gonna reach higher top speed than them at the end of the straight if you're already late on the throttle, and had lower rate of early acceleration due to not being able to use ERS because of low traction (and tire temp is worsening that).
The floor scraping the ground is a thing, but it barely happens because of how flat the tracks are in game
Australia final corner is a good example, still manageable for player, but very tough
And because the dirty air is stronger this year, it became even harder to stick to the AI's back to take advantage of the slipstream
AI do affected by dirty air too, but they seem to manage it much better
It is one of the reasons why the AI seems to be able to overtake player so easily even though you have DRS like them, they were taking full advantage of your slipstream because they are literally kissing your rear wing already at corner exit, whilst never needed to worry about battery
The dev is really not looking at where the root problem is
I don't know how much it takes to train the AI on how they use ERS, but simply making them having to be more conservative with the battery would already solve like 70% of the straightline speed issue
The other 30% is for tracks where tire temp is a major issue for player, AI needed to be affected more by that too

Nothing has changed.
AI is still overpowered on the straight. It's crazy.
AI has more traction. No dirty air. More ERS power when "overtaking" is active.
If you press the overtaking button at the same time, the AI pulls away.

EA_Groguet EA_Lanna After the patch I tested it again. Alpine at Suzuka, medium TC, auto ERS, 75% difficulty. Same thing happens out of the last corner with the AI getting better grip and pulling away.
