Is there a longer term solution being worked to ensure that the game won't crash with the Windows update? Uninstalling the update is all well and good for now, but is anyone looking at making it compatible with the most current up to date version of the PC's operating system?

This has been reported to the team. However, most players have been able to fix the issue by uninstalling the latest Windows update. Something is conflicting with EA Anticheat, as F1® 25 is not the only game affected by this.
