This is great info, but it only works if you've been able to launch the game previously. The "My Games" folder is only created after first launch, so if you've never got that far, this won't work. Thank you for sharing though! Hopefully it helps someone out.
you are right. my game never ran far enough to create this folder. i fixed it and got my game running. my "documents" folder was pointing to a network drive (my NAS). i changed it to be a local drive and my game ran. i think there are multiple causes for this crash. if you do have your documents folder on a network drive, changing it to a local drive is one thing to try.
