Game Freezes When Clicking Xbox Button

I play the game on an Xbox Series S, and whether I use a controller or wheel, whenever I hit the Xbox button, my whole game freezes. This is particularly an issue in multiplayer races, where if I hit the Xbox button mid race, rather than going to the menu and putting my car in AI, the game freezes and I freeze on track as well. I then reappear however many seconds I paused behind where I should be. This issue also existed for me on 24, and is very annoying because I cannot for example, change audio settings, party settings, or any other settings outside of the game while racing. Please fix this ASAP.
