Two Player Career Crashing

I've had this exact issue. My friend's profile loads as no-name in the game lobby, despite me inviting them from the in-game friends list which displays their EA name. Then as soon as they join and their name doesn't appear, my game just completely breaks. No access to any online features without my game freezing. 

This is incredibly frustrating and the Support staff have been no help whatsoever. I've been trying to fix this since early access launch. Just put through a dispute through my bank now until i know the issue has been fixed, then i may consider buying it again

Update - I have tried with another friend and had the same issue, it seems for whatever reason my account is incapable of playing a 2 player career

Further update - I have tried using a different account and it worked fine. It seems then that this issue is with this, my main account.. 

I am able to play multiplayer, other EA games (Madden/FC) no problem but as soon as I try an F1 2 player career it breaks everything.. (same for F1 24 as well).
