Wheel rotation randomly goes crazy high

Hey,

I've found a rather annoying bug where wheel rotation sometimes resets to some super high value and I can barely steer the car at all.

The two ways to fix it that I have found are going to the menu and changing the wheel rotation in the ingame calibration settings or restarting the game, both of which are of course quite bad if you've already started a race.

The bug seems to happen randomly between sessions, last night I had it in a ranked lobby. On the one-shot qualifying lap it was still fine, but then for the race start it had reset the rotation to some crazy high value and I couldnt steer the car at all. It has also happened to me in some 5-lapper lobbies, where it just randomly changed itself between races.

I have a Fanatec DD1 Podium wheel and I am on PC Steam platform, but it has also affected a friend of mine who has a thrustmaster wheel and another one who has a Moza racing wheel, so it doesnt seem to be wheel manufacturer specific issue.

For my DD1 I have set the wheel rotation to 330 in the driver and in the game.

Thanks in advance,

Nightgloom

  • Does this happen if you set 330 only in game and leave wheel on auto?

Hey, yeah that was what I was running the first time and it happened.

The later times I tried setting both the wheel control panel and the game to 330 and it still happened.

  • I think this is similar to what i experience, but there is also no FFB.

I use a rewind and it fixes itself. Always at the start of session, usually qualifying

Yeah...unfortunately in an online league race thats not really an option so its quite unfortunate if it happens then :P
