I had this same issue, but there was an update yesterday, and I guess the bug was fixed, as I was able to advance without trying any troubleshooting, just updated and advanced and it worked, but I have a tip to create a checkpoint at the end of every transfer window, in case this happens again you can get your save from the checkpoint and hopefully it will work
