Controller Disconnecting

So I play on PC and without fail every single ultimate team game my controller will stop working despite it saying on steam its still connected. So I try to use my keyboard when that happens and that doesn't work either. I can't complete any ultimate team game which means I can't complete evos that I spent coins and fifa points on. This bug only happened after the most recent patch and only comes once I'm in a game. So I get either disconnected or have to close my game. It happens in other game modes too just way less often.
