Error listing player on transfer list and can't remove player back to club

I’m having an issue in the game where one of my players is stuck on the transfer list and cannot be removed by any means. I keep getting an error message every time I try. I’ve attempted to fix it both through the mobile app and on the console, but neither quick sell nor any other option works.

You’d expect a company of this size not to have such issues in its games, or at least to inform users if it’s a wider problem.
