It’s a game engine problem, it’s not limited to EA FC26, expands to the formula 1 games as well, something about certain iterations of Frostbite just simply causes shutdowns on Xbox consoles. Maybe they don’t sell enough copies of their games on Xbox to justify addressing this problem permanently on an engine level. I got an immediate refund from Xbox.
in my opinion, the leadership people in charge of Xbox technical development for Frostbite’s engine at EA should be fired, they are likely paid good market related salaries yet consistently ship non functional products whilst blaming user hardware, the problem has been ongoing multiple titles (many years) now.
There are lots of graphically superior titles from different publishers which do not shut down these machines under the heaviest of loads, EA, it’s a you problem.
I don’t know what kind of corporate culture you have internally that allows stuff like this to persist but I think you (non-Swedish leadership) should probably look into fixing things. Maybe onboard some technical leadership people with less appetite for mediocre complacency.
