FC26 ONLINE GAMEPLAY IS FUNDAMENTALLY BROKEN
I’m honestly at my limit with FC26 online gameplay, because what’s happening is not random, not skill-related, and not on my end.
Here’s exactly what I’m experiencing across Division Rivals, Champs Finals, and Single Player Draft:
- Button presses do not execute when pressed
- Passes only trigger after pressing X multiple times
- Shots come out weak or mistimed despite correct power input
- Sprint randomly stops working, especially when chasing attackers
- Defenders visibly lose speed in recovery situations
- Gameplay flips between normal and unresponsive in spurts mid-match
This is not “lag” in the traditional sense.
The game doesn’t freeze, stutter, or show packet loss. It accepts inputs and then executes them late or incorrectly.
BEFORE ANYONE SAYS “CHECK YOUR CONTROLLER / INTERNET” – I DID
- Multiple controllers tested – same behaviour
- Deleted and reinstalled the game
- Internet speed tested: 80+ Mbps down, 50+ Mbps up
- Wired connection
- No issues in other games
Now here’s the most important part.
I TESTED THIS ACROSS MODES – AND THE RESULTS ARE CONSISTENT
- Kick-Off Mode: Completely smooth
- Squad Battles: Mostly smooth (one isolated speed glitch)
- Single Player Draft: Broken
- Rivals / Champs: Completely broken
Same console. Same controllers. Same settings.
So no – this is not hardware, not my connection, not mechanics, not mentality.
This issue only exists when Ultimate Team’s competitive gameplay layer is active.
WHAT THIS ACTUALLY FEELS LIKE IN GAME
- Sprint doesn’t trigger when defending, but works immediately when attacking
- Shot power scales down because the animation starts late
- Inputs get queued instead of executed
- You press buttons correctly but the game decides when you’re allowed to act
It feels like the game is fighting you, not responding to you.
FC26 online competitive gameplay is currently unreliable at a mechanical level.
