FC26 PS5 - Fresh Install Fails with CE-107928-7 (Corrupted Data)

I’m experiencing the same issue reported in this thread: [link to the other forum post]

The PS5 version of FC 26 fails to install with error CE-107928-7 (“Cannot install. Data may be corrupted.”), stopping at roughly the same point (~10GB out of 63GB) every single time.

Key details:

• This happens on a completely fresh install (game fully deleted and redownloaded), not just an update.

• The PS4 version of FC 26 installs perfectly fine on the exact same console.

• A different 85GB game from another publisher downloaded with no issues.

• I sent my console to an authorized Sony service center suspecting hardware failure. The console was inspected/repaired, but the exact same error still occurs after the repair.

• Another player in the Middle East region reported the identical issue, suggesting this may be tied to corrupted/incomplete files on the regional CDN nodes.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Delete FC 26 (PS5 version) completely from the console.

2. Attempt a fresh download/install from PlayStation Store.

3. Download stalls at ~15% (~10GB) and fails with error CE-107928-7.

    I am facing a problem in update to version 1000.030 before it is stable it gains error CE-107928-7 

    Try to Rebuld database, cache clear , delete and re-install

    Downloading to 16% and gain same error

    Can't install. The data is corrupted. It will be deleted from your downloads and copies

    Try booting the console in Safe mode and then Rebuild Database. Retry when that is done and again, let us know your results. Thanks. EA_Barry.

    If you can connect to your router directly with a cable rather than via Wi-Fi, you will get a much more stable connection and may prevent this error. Please see the following link for info and steps relating to this error:

    #### Detailed Description of the Bug:

    I am experiencing a continuous download loop when attempting to install the EA SPORTS FC 26 Showcase version on my PS5. The download progresses flawlessly until it hits exactly 15% (or 16%), where it abruptly stops and forces a "File Corrupted" error. 

     

    This issue has been active for more than a week. This is an identical match to the open Middle East CDN server-side package corruption threads currently active on the forums. The file hosted on the Gulf/Saudi distribution mirror is corrupted at the 15% data block layer, preventing the console from completing the download handshake.

    #### Local Troubleshooting Completed (All Failed):

    1. Canceled and deleted the download queue entirely to prevent retrying broken data.

    2. Verified console storage for hidden ghost data files or broken placeholders.

    3. Cleared the system software cache using the PS5 Safe Mode menu.

    4. Fully rebuilt the PS5 Database via Safe Mode.

    5. Manually altered network settings using Google DNS (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) and Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1).

    6. Triggered the download remotely using the PlayStation Mobile App interface.

     

    #### Requested Action:

    Please alert the Middle East server deployment engineers to purge the corrupted installation cache for the EA SPORTS FC 26 PS5 installation package on the Gulf regional CDN mirrors so that local players can download the file cleanly.

    Hello,

    I’m playing EA SPORTS FC 26 on PS5 using a Saudi PlayStation Store account.

    I cannot install update 1.000.028. Every time the download reaches around 500 MB, it fails with error CE-107928-7 and says the update data is corrupted.

    I have already:

    • Deleted and reinstalled the game.
    • Restored licenses.
    • Tried different internet connections (Wi-Fi and mobile hotspot).
    • Other games update normally.

    The issue only affects FC 26.

    Please investigate this issue.
