Hi. I found that read-only didn't work. But you can do it by right clicking the file -properties-security and set write permission to deny. That should stop it from automatically changing the settings. But anyway fps drops still happens. Could you let me know about your spec. Mine is 5600+6500xt. Thank you,

Bro, I've also done this, changing the write permission to deny, both in the system, administrator and user, all to no avail, bro, one way is to wait for a fix from EA.
