Game freezing and fast forward to catch up

I have played around 30-40 games online now of fc 26 and in every game I experience a 5-10 second period where my game will freeze and after a few seconds it will run in fast forward to catch up to the actual point of the game. It will show at the top of the screen “connection issues” and the ping will read 1500+ for this time. After that has happened the game will continue to run as normal. It makes playing any type of competitive online game unplayable due to this happening 2-5 times each game. It is very frustrating as I will concede goals during the period where my game is frozen. I know it is not an internet issue as I have someone on another console connected to the same internet who doesn’t experience the same issue. So whether it is the game or the ps5 it is unplayable.
