[PC] A lot of input delay and sluggishness, specially online.

Guys I had exactly same problem, for 4-5 seconds game wasn't receiving any inputs and it kept happening constantly. I was managed to solve it by disconnecting every USB cable one by one connected to my PC and IT WORKED!! My external camera was the reason of that input delay.

I’m opening a new thread because my previous post didn’t get any official update or solution.
I want to make it clear that this is not a performance, FPS, or ISP issue — my system and connection are perfectly stable.

I play EA Sports FC 26 on PC from Portugal (EU) using a wired Ethernet connection. My local latency is excellent, and I’ve already tested multiple ISPs, DNS providers, and even VPNs — all showing the same pattern.

The real issue comes from network routing: Traffic from Portugal is being routed through Zayo / Lumen nodes in the United States (Washington D.C.) before reaching EA’s servers, instead of using nearby European routes. This routing adds around +100 to +120 ms of unnecessary latency, which causes severe input delay and sluggish gameplay despite stable FPS and connection quality.

I’ve already opened multiple EA Help tickets — the support team confirmed that other players are experiencing similar “input delay after the new update”, but this clearly seems to be a routing / network infrastructure issue, not a game bug or hardware fault.

Could the network infrastructure or server routing team please review this path and ensure EU traffic stays within Europe?

Many EU players are affected by this (at least in Portugal), and gameplay has become almost unplayable because of the extra transatlantic hop.

Thank you for your attention and for escalating this to the proper technical team. If needed, I can run additional tests (WinMTR, traceroute, or provide routing data from other regions).

I have a real problem with this game EA  you want me to quit keep screwing me over how is it my defenders  not sprinting I play with 2 holding cdms none of them can tackle opponents  and my defenders  also none of the can tackle or sprint opponent's simply run forward they win the ball i run forward my player runs past opponents player who has the ball  how is it that my defenders can not  tackle for **bleep** and they always move slow they don't sprint even my players with bruiser why don't they make physical challenges what ever button im pressing the action does not happen straightaway if I pass for example about 2 seconds later my player passes by that time they have been tackled when I press sprint it's not happening straightaway same thing 2 second delay so imagine simply changing direction and running at different angles same thing **bleep**ing delay what kind of crap is this i paid for so I spend money on your stupid game and you reply just take a dump on my head so I get my team to 88 ovr however you EA just take another dump on my head and you make sure that my players dont perform by  not resolving the issue you are complicate in the problem  its like you must have made that much money you dont have go try anymore what is the point in the game or is that the point I should just put up with it eventually I will quit because I thought I was buying a good game instead I feel scammed and at a loss financially if you have any dignity resolve the delay input as the game becomes unplayable I will quit soon if you don't sort it out and I mean very soon the game is not enjoyable for me is it that hard to ask for a game that does what it's supposed to 

you can tell us that this game is for how have the highest specs on pc and other are for the highest spects to train on us un belivable act from this company to get to this end point congrats its yr end find another jop for all working here 

Ping shows 16-18 during the game but it's lagging every game and defense impossible with this lag. I can't believe we have this in such high end PCs... Please EA Please patch it!

The game is unplayable at the moment & has been for a while now! Every single command has delay, changing players is torture and even the sprint command takes an eternity to transfer to the pitch. The game is a heavy, delayed mess at the moment & ONE look on social media will show thousands of people who feel the same. MANY of the well known content creators are saying the same. 

Any danger of providing your customers who paid for the game with a response outlining the issues? We were promised a ‘responsive’ game this year and at the moment it’s even worse than FC25 

I’m STILL waiting on a response from somebody at EA?? see the attached screenshots from well known content creators again. I can literally post hundreds of these! what’s going on EA the games so unresponsive
