Unable to play the physical disc of FC 26

Having previously played the free trial of FC 26, I purchased a physical copy of the game.  This was installed successfully on my Xbox one console.  I noticed that if I did not intert the disc the games home screen icon had it labelled as the trial version, however if I inserted the disc it would load and play fine.

Yesterday I tried to load the game only to be greeted with the following message, and I then cannot progress any further beyond the press A to play screen.  I had recently had an update to the game, so wondered if it could be a glitch in this.

For context I have a game pass ultimate subscription, which include EA Access, and I've only played about 7 hours of the trial.  In fact I removed the disc and was successfully able to continue to play the trial version.

I have uninstalled the game and cleared cache, but still have the same problem upon reinstalling the game.

Anyone else have/had this issue?  Is there a fix I can do or am I at the mercy of EA?
