As a long-time gamer and performance-focused player, I’m running into a serious issue with this game that makes it nearly unplayable. I’m lucky if I can maintain 10 FPS, and this is the only game on my system that behaves this way. Every other title I play — including far more demanding ones — runs perfectly fine with smooth, consistent frame rates.
However, this game frequently enters what I can only describe as “slow-motion mode.” The entire game slows down dramatically — movement, animations, and gameplay timing all crawl as if under heavy lag or time dilation. During these moments, I also hear crackling or popping noises coming through my headset, which seem to sync with the slowdown.
Interestingly, when I joined a group session with three other players for a throwdown match, the game temporarily sped up and played at a normal pace. But as soon as that session ended, it reverted back to slow-motion again.
Currently, I’m running all settings on the lowest possible configuration, and I’ve manually capped the frame rate at 30 FPS to stabilize performance — yet nothing I’ve tried makes any meaningful difference. I’ve updated my drivers, verified the integrity of game files, and adjusted in-game and GPU settings, but the issue persists.
The slow-motion effect also causes severe gameplay glitches — I’m often launched into the air, rubber-banded around the map, or forced into impossible recovery positions if I don’t land perfectly. This makes it effectively impossible to play with proper timing or precision, especially in competitive or skill-based modes.
I’ll be attaching my DxDiag.txt file below for reference in case it helps identify what might be going on. I’d appreciate any guidance or troubleshooting steps that could resolve this, because as it stands, the game is barely functional on my end.
