Stuck on black screen with game mouse pointer

I was able to play the game just fine a couple of hours ago but after a softlock I've only been able to enter the start screen, then the loading icon goes and goes and goes and goes... after a few minutes there's nothing but a black screen but I can still see the mouse pointer from the game (the green one), after that nothing happens no matter how much I wait.

Tried lots of things to get it fixed, in the end I got desperate and I logged in into a different computer and I have the exact same issue so this is server sided.

This isn't really related to the many other softlocked issues because I wasn't even in the middle of a challenge or anything, I was just skating around when I slammed into the floor and a weird bug happened to my character and I had to force close the game because I got softlocked.

Still curious to know if anyone else is having a similar problem.

    Literally just had this happen to me, wonky glitch with my character colliding into some geometry and then my skater disappeared after I teleported back to my session marker. Figured oh well, just restart the game and keep it moving. Now I'm getting extended loading screens to just a flat black screen, unable to access menus or anything. Tried both consoles, reset both of them, and my router, and still no dice. This is on PS5 and Xbox One S.

    It was throwing an error code and saying I had been kicked from the server at first, but unfortunately I didn't think to grab a screenshot.

    Same problem here on PS4,but may I ask what is a soft lock???

    Nope, it's a regular win11 installation. on both steam and the EA launcher.

    I can't launch the game anymore, it loads for a while and then there's just a black screen. I uninstalled the game but it' still the same. Help me please.

    It launched on October 7 and I stopped searching about the bug on Oct 8 so I guess 2 days? Are you on steamdeck dual booting windows 11? It could be a steamdeck related issue?

    The moment the maintenance was done I logged in , loaded in a way that was conducive to putting me in the game and then I gave me a connection error and kicked me. For the last 23 hours I have been stuck on this screen. Verifying game files, repairing EA anti cheat , uninstalling reinstalling , installing latest windows. Nothing works. This same exact scenario happened in season 1 day one and two so I hope it's resolved to like before.

    ye bro i was playing like 5 hrs ago went away came back to try and load the game and after clicking start and loading in it just gives me a pitch black screen on ps4
