Stuck on tutorial Island & No water taxi marker

Felt a rush of nostalgia back from skate 3 and looking forward to download Skate.  it then when it did I was on it creating the character and doing the tutorial bits and now im on the water taxi part I get into an endless black screen and decided to restart and now there's no water taxi marker what can I do ive tried restarting and deleting and reinstalling but no fix unfortunately hopefully EA get this fixed ASAP as I really wanna play it and play in the city and they also need to fix the join friends aswell as I can't join people I get an error.
