I’ve been using full manual pumping with auto pump off, but now the response feels worse—or did the input range change?
I used a Pro Controller with trigger stops ON to avoid RT/LT grab delay/misinputs, but after the update it no longer registers at all.
If this isn’t a bug but intended, it’s terrible.
Feels like the whole pump mechanic is broken after the last update. Same issue here on a stock PC controller — RT/LT doesn’t register at all. The only workaround is enabling "Left Stick Forward to Pump", but it still feels very inconsistent, and the pump timing/window feels off — like the input window is shifted too early. It makes the game and some challenges almost unplayable since I can’t gain speed like before.
If you press and hold the input deeply enough, it sometimes registers as a pump, but transitioning into the next action becomes really difficult.
The forward-stick pump is also inconsistent, so I’d like to see that fixed.
At this point, it’s hard to tell whether this is a bug or an intentional design choice. Either way, it’s a pretty frustrating mechanic.
Honestly, it really killed my motivation lol.
