As I understand this part of the orginal 10th anniversary post:
You don't need to get to you Highscore every time playing the Coliseum. However, today it is still the case that the highscore is not taken into account for the daily placements.
Therefore, the the highscore is pretty useless in contrast to what it orginally states.
It might be possible that I missinterpreted the orginal post. However, what is the point of phrasing "once you achieve your best score, you don't need to keep battling over and over again..." if the highscore is pretty useless?
