Conquest battle stuck at loading screen.

Attempted to enter two separate battles in sector 1 and got stuck at the loading circle of doom. Waited around a minute the first time but the battle didn't load so I tried to close out the game and reload it. I noticed that it spent the 20 energy but figured that it was just a one-off and tried again. It got stuck at the loading screen again so I closed out the game, restarted it and found that I was now out 40 energy. Would like to prevent others from experiencing the same issue and hopefully get those resources back since they were lost through no fault of my own.
