The game crashes or freezes after just a few turns in the Secrets and Shadow Assault Battle regardless of which tier level. As a result, I am not able to play through any tier levels. Please resolve.

Good to hear, same thing keeps happening to me.
This happened with an earlier assault battle for me too. I kept getting to the last wave and it would crash on me.
Any update on when that will be?
