Managed to solve it in the end, but I had to mute my game audio and then wait 60 seconds before attacking on wave 2 or else my game would soft lock 

Hi! I managed to find a solution if you’re still struggling. Had to mute the game audio in the main settings outside of battle, enter the battle, and then wait 60 seconds before attacking on wave 2 and it should progress fine

Sorry for the delayed reply, I resolved the issue using the same methods. Glad I’m not crazy lol. Thank you for the help.
