Partagaz still alive

When playing Colosseum with Partagaz and Dedra, my turn ends early when Partagaz is still alive and has plenty of energy. This happens every time. Am I missing something? Partagaz it's not a summoned player so he should get to play until his energy runs out right?

    Partagaz is like wat and hermit yoda he has no offensive capability so he despawns if everyone else dies deedra should be your highest lvl character for that squad.
