Solo Carson Teva unbeatable on defense in Squad Arena with SLKR

It's just as it sounds.  My opponent set just Carson Teva (along with his datacron) on defense and SLKR is unable to win.  Teva just sits in red health and doesn't die.  I have not tested this with other squads to see if he can be disintegrated or something similar, but any way you slice it, this shouldn't work this way.
